Klaus Volkman has been building Bamboo Recumbent Bikes out of Brazil/Chile for the past two years.  Volkman rode his bamboo bike 1,300 km. Once again, another amazing human being; talented, passion and committed to, not just, the well being of the earth but innovative adventure.

For more details on Volkman and his sustainable ride click here.  Below I have a few videos on Volkman so you view is bike in action.  If ever you hesitate to traverse beyond what must feel is impossible remember Klaus Volkman. Another gifted courageous person pedaling outside the boundaries of self…

  2. This is fantastic!

I am planning a trip across the USA and parts of Canada, originally was planning to use a bamboo Mountain bike but I am thinking a bamboo recumbent bike would be amazing. No one to my knowledge has done it before! I will be riding to raise awareness of human trafficking…
